WHAT WE DO

Our goals align with the World Health Organization’s initiative on providing surgical and anesthesia services to resource-restricted countries.  We build strong alliances with local healthcare workers so they may  provide a higher standard of care to their patients year-round. We also deliver care directly to these communities by bringing highly trained specialists who not only donate their medical expertise to the local population, but work side by side with our international peers to help advance medical knowledge, while also coming to a better understanding of the cultures in which we serve.

Rosarita

Rosarita has a hereditary condition that causes her spleen to enlarge, even to the point where it became a risk for rupturing. In the United States, she would have received immediate surgery, but because of her family’s financial situation, they had to save for two years before she could undergo surgery.

Awarded Johnson and Johnson Matching Funds Award

Based upon AIM’s demonstration of effective leadership in implementing advanced anesthesia and laparoscopic surgical programs in low-income countries, Johnson & Johnson selected AIM to be part of their CaringCrowd Matching Funds program.
